Brief Summary:
Beginning the Be Miraculous DVD with Origins 1 and 2 Episodes helped me understand what the third installment of France’s hit series is about. (I regret to admit that I missed the first two.) Two superhero teens Marinette AKA Ladybug and Adrien AKA Cat Noir helped by akuma butterflies Kwami and Tikki and Plagg thwart masked Hawk Moth and his villains. They use brains not brawn to neutralize a Stone Heart, a panther, a telescoping camera, playing cards, and Celestial Soup. Thank you, ZAGHEROEZ.
My Opinion Only:
Typical high school tween characters and their novel alter-egos reminiscent of Spiderman and Catwoman, good and bad luck symbols blended in magic to energize, multi-racial characters set against a culturally-diverse cosmopolitan backdrop, and CGI magna-style anime artwork in vibrant colors mean that The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir has the makings of an international hit. Younger audiences can identify the everyday problems that heroes and villains face. Love its positive messages of be yourself and no bullying. Best thing is no sex, profanity, or excessive violence.
FYI: December 20, 2016 Netflix will broadcast a Miraculous Christmas special.
