As I See It:
Adventure Time, the Complete Fourth Season (see October 2, 2014 hereandthere blog), ended in a real cliffhanger. Its Season 5 opening episodes resolves that Liche situation, introduces Prismo the Wish Maker, touches on dimension hopping, responsibility, even serious topics like kidnapping, death, destruction. Its finale blockbuster gamechanging/lifechanging cliffhanger reveal by Billy that Finn’s father is alive.
P. R. Tease on Blu-Ray Custom Die-cut Slipcase:
Are you a Jake fan? Because Season 5 has a ridiculous amount of momentous Jake moments!! Like when he became Jake the dad. That he tracked down Jake Jr.’s kidnapper (sort of). Who can forget the masterpiece that is his most delicious sandwich? And he shares this moment with his best bro Finn and friends in a total of 52 episodes, all for you!

My Opinion Only:
Adventure Time works in today’s pop culture. Its short 11 minute format sci-fi premise, aging Finn over each season from 11 to 15, adding empowered female characters, helps build fans. AT is fast becoming a cult phenomenon. Its audiences are not just boys 2-11. Girls like it too as do many adults. No wonder this series garners so many different nominations and awards for Best Animated Television Production!
