Hubby and I are taking our first trip for us ever this weekend–no family, no delegate responsibilities, just time for ourselves and some fun. Yippee! However, when I began packing, I saw that my footwear didn’t cut it.

High heels I wore until I fell at work are no longer an option. Bedroom slipper slip-ons don’t cut it. Orthopedic shoes with laces over high insteps–ouch. Practical shoes with orthotics–yuk. Flip-flops not for me–safety issues. Bad feet–blame it on fate and the aging process–I got them. Boy, are my old lady shoes ugly! Winter wear reminds me of army work boots.

Luckily time changes style. I just can’t wait for summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime. Luckily there are specialists out there like Australian podiatrist Phyllip Vasyli who understand that shoe design and health issues work together and everyone, young to old, wants to be comfortable, chic, and fashionable.

I just received a pair of very feminine Orthaheel Bali, pretty but practical sandals. They are bright, beaded slingbacks with orthotic footbeds that that absorb shock and support feet as they work to reduces heel, knee, back and leg pain. What’s more there is no slip sliding away with them on my tootsies. Their wave pattern rubber tread improves traction. No wonder they are recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil and received the APMA Seal of Acceptance.

Orthoheel shoes are well-being in every step quality shoes. They are available online and in many retailers nationwide. Bali’s is available in white, raspberry, cobalt, or black in medium width sizes 5-11. However, if you are a half size, I advise ordering a half size down as sandal footbed is really long. Their SMRP is $79.85 with a 30-day guarantee of your comfort or your money back, so you can’t lose.

I love my Bali. Why? They are well made, fit well, and are easily cleaned by wiping with damp cloth. Look what I have paired up with them for dress up.
