I tried to teach my children right from wrong. Now it’s the next generation and kids need guidance not preaching. In the last year and a half, I have posted blogs about several different Veggie Tales. I choose to because I sincerely believe that children need to be encouraged and reminded to do the right thing no matter how hard.

Today I viewed Veggie Tales, The Penniless Princess. It is an animated retelling of the classic story “A Little Princess” which was adapted to the Shirley Temple movie of the same name.

Sweet Sara Crewe has been raised in a world of wealth and comfort. Then her father dies and her life changes from riches to rags. No pampered or lavished, she works for her room and board at school. Viewers will be inspired by how she takes things in this story, a lesson of true worth.

Released August 14, 2012, The Penniless Princess has a 50 minute running time and a $14.97 SMRP. Behind the Scenes, My Teddy Bear’s From Where?, A True Princess-Discussion Guide, Tour of London, and Silly Songs including new Best Friends Forever are bonus features.
