Mike and Ike Merry Mix Candy Review

Mike And Ike Merry Mix Candy

Christmas tradition was always that Christmas afternoon, hubby and I have all our children, spouses and significant others, and grandchildren here to break bread and exchange gifts. However, with one son out of state and another spending the day with out-of state extended family, I am rethinking the buffet menu and simplifying it. With only half of us here, a whole turkey, roast beef, and loin of pork seems much. Of course, day long nibblers like salami and cream cheese, shrimp cocktail, chips and dip will be out along with pies, cookies, and traditional fruitcake.

Our household has exhibited strange humor over the years. Bras, fans, salt licks, pudding and hot sauce, all have their own secret stories. However, I have decided to turn a new leaf. Gag gifts, bah humbug! No naughty this year for me. My stocking stuffers will include Mike and Ike (5 oz.)Theater Boxes. Wonder who will get the Original Fruits; wonder who will get the Hot Tamales….

In keeping with the holiday spirit, I am buying several Theater Boxes and several 14 ounce bags of Mike and Ikes Merry Mix. I just had some original red (cherry) and green (lime) ones as well as NEW blue (holiday punch). They remind me of waxy fruit-flavored jellybeans with a chewy core. They are a sugar rush. Because I like red ones best in all kinds of candy, hubby keeps reminding me that others like them too. He even made me promise not to pick all of them out. And I thought no one noticed….
