I Don’t Know How She Does It Blu-ray Review
Can a woman succeed in business against real world pressures? I Don’t Know How She Does It (based on the Allison Pearson novel) shows it happen.
Self-absorbed, cheerful Kate Reddy (Sarah Jessica Parker) juggles a husband and two kids against a career. She is successful and happy, but her life is hectic, without real commitment. The way she manages to balance her work-family life seems cliche. Her frequent absences are impacting the people she loves. Enter one complication – suave, enlightened Jack Abelhammer – and there begins the real tale.
I Don’t Know How She Does It is an aged chick flick. Its observations on marriage, career, and parenting relate to women. Olivia Munn steals the show as icy cold, almost robotic Momo. Kudos to Pierce Brosnan for his role as high powered, loveless Abelhammer.
I wish that more segments were played out instead of being narrated. Physical comedy utilized in the lice and bowling scenes as well as negative stereotypes like the momsters and male business associates create the comedy.
Here is the trailer.
