Green Mountain Coffee – Great Coffee And Good Vibes by the K-Cup and By the Bag Review And Giveaway
Do you know that it is Fair Trade Month? ?Do you know what Fair Trade means? ?Do you know who Fair Trade helps?
Fair Trade certification means helping workers and farmers in developing countries ?protect their environment, improve their lives, and export quality products.
Musicians Grace Potter and Michael Franti went to Columbia and Sumatra this year to see how fair trade farms help people. ?As part of Green Mountain;s “Great Coffee, Good Vibes, Pass It On” campaign ?they are spreading the word.
Their livestreamed performances on the Green Mountain Coffee Facebook page is music to the ears that supports farmers and workers. ?Visit the GreenMountain Facebook page to see photos, videos, and possibly win a trip to Costa Rico.
Nothing like great great philanthropy except??a good cuppa to start the morning on a chilly day. ?Wish I could have brought my own Green Mountain Coffee camping this weekend. ?I appreciate good coffee. ?To me coffee is beans, specifically Arabica. Store brand ground just doesn’t do it for me.
I just brewed myself Green?Mountain Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice. Sweet! ?Yummy! ?True pie in the sky! ?I get the taste sans hundreds and hundreds of dessert calories. ?It is a flavored light roast coffee I can make and drink 100% fresh throughout the day thanks to K-Cups. What a sweet, creamy cinnamon and nut flavored coffee! ?What a a hot hot beverage well worth its $16.49 list for a box of 24. ! ?Don’t know which I like more its taste or its smell.
I realize that man does not live by Keurig pot alone. ?When hosting a big event or having a friendly gathering, coffee urns and multi-cup pots have less waste, have specialty options, and ?are easier, quicker, more convenient and more economical.
A full pot is lots more practical than individual servings when people are socializing. ?No one wants to get in line. ?Everyone wants to sit down ?to break bread together and dish dirt. ?(It’s only human nature.) ?Consider this past?weekend: ?Friday, two 8 cup pots; Saturday four 8 cup pots; Sunday two 8 cup pots. ?That adds up to 64 eight ounce or bigger cups – time to?take out a bag of Green Mountain coffee beans or grind.
A 10 oz. container of Green Mountain Single Origin ?Colombian Fair Trade Select 100% Arabica (c. $9.47 SMRP) makes about five full 8 cup pots. ? This fruity medium roast is sweet not bitter coffee connoisseur’s delight. Its hints of lime-citrus, green apples, sweet raisins, and walnuts differentiate it from convenience store mud. Auto-drip, french press, or espresso one heaping tablespoon per six ounces of water beats most coffee bar java both in taste and price.
P. S. ?Not to worry ?unfinished grind will not go to waste. ?Store what is left in an airtight container away from heat, direct sunlight, and moisture then use it with ? a reusable My-K-Cup filter. Taking a page from good coffee houses, ?top the coffee with powdered chocolate, cinnamon, ?vanilla ?or a flavoring like caramel or hazelnut. Possibilities are endless…sugar and cream are strictly optional.
ONE winners will receive an exclusive prize pack of Fair Trade Certified? Green Mountain Coffee that includes one bag of premium GMC coffee and one box of K-cups.
