Funky Monkey Snacks Review

Funky Monkey Snacks

My recent journey via Spirit to LAX (fastest way they flew) from Atlantic City through Fort Lauderdalee took over twelve hours before factoring in to that more hours for airport waits, delays, and stops. Flying coast to coast takes big time.

Budget conscious me tries to avoid too expensive airport kiosks and plane boxes and snacks. Bariatric me watches carefully what I eat limiting pasta, rice, and bread. Diabetic me monitors the foods limiting carbs. Then airline passenger me has to factor in what Homeland Security allows as carry on.

Between no liquids, no fuss or mess, and obviously no foods that spoil, describe my take-along menu as boring, not tasty. Missed meals–sometimes breakfast, lunch, and dinner–happen a lot.

Option for me: Pack Funky Monkey snacks, the fruit that crunches. Like the packaging says, it is 100% real fruit, 100% fat free, no sugar, preservatives, coloring or flavoring added, and gluten free. One 12 gram bag of this freeze-dried fruit equals one serving of fruit. Now staples like potato crackers, nuts and cheese aren’t enough for me.

I must have Funky Monkey. Each taste is satisfying with a bit of zing not sweet or cloying, and each texture slightly chewy. Applemmon (apple with cinnamon), Purple Funk (banana with acai), and Jivealime (pineapple with lime) are great: I can’t wait to try the other four wholesome, natural varieties.
