Fiber One Snackcessory
In late August, Fiber One put out a call for entries for the Fiber One? Snackcessory Challenge. Fashionistas and DIY-ers alike were invited to leverage their unique sense of style and design their very own ?Snackcessory,? a stylishly designed case or pouch that consumers can throw in their handbag to hold delicious and healthy snacks. After checking out all of the incredible entries, celebrity style expert Bobbie Thomas and Erica Domesek of P.S. I Made This narrowed the contest down to 10 crafty finalists. People like you and I were asked to vote for our favorite Snackcessory design. One Grand Prize winner was awarded a trip for two to New York City to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in February 2013. Unfortunately my readers lost the chance to vote for the Fiber One Snackcessory and get a coupon. Blame it on the East Coast megastorm of the century and the nor-easter that followed with six inches of snow. The Jersey shore was totally without power for ten days after Hurricane Sandy.
For health reasons I trashed the contents of both my refrigerators as well as my freezer 48 hours after the lights went out. That left bread while it lasted, “tins,” nutrition bars, and bottles of water. Going hungry is no fun ever.
Lucky for me I had Fiber One in my cabinets. I can tell you that Fiber One Oats & Chocolate Chewy Bars and Fiber One 90 Calorie Chocolate Caramel & Pretzel Chewy Bars were tasty rations that saved off hunger and famine really. I got them just before Sandy touched down on the Jersey shore.
For almost a week they were more than delicious healthy snacks. They with plenty of water became dawn to dusk breakfast-lunch-dinner. Now it is time to go shopping and replenish my cabinets in case… First item on the list is FiberOne.
Fiber One is also on Facebook.
