Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest Review and Giveaway

Energizer 2011 Ultimate Photo Contest

The National Geographic Society and Energizer Ultimate Lithium are again teaming up for their fourth annual Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest. Right now amateur photographer me is sorting through the thousands of pictures I took this year trying to find the picture perfect moment.

What a thrill it would be to find your photo in a National Geographic magazine ad! What a thrill it would be to win a prize, any prize! Want to take an Alaskan cruise? Maybe a Moroccan odyssey? How about a Himalayan journey to Bhutan? The grand prize winner gets to choose his dream destination. Six other Category Winners receive a $1,000 prize package. I am already fantasizing about using its EPIC Action Video Cam, Nikon digital camera, Litepanels Micro? camera light, Energizer? Lithium flashlight, Energizer? Lithium Headlight, two books from the National Geographic Collection, and Energizer? Ultimate Lithium batteries.

Now all I have to enter my best shots at www.nationalgeographic.com/lithium by June 30, 2011, into the contest’s six thematic categories: animals/wildlife, nature/weather, travel/cultures, family/community, arts/music and action/energy. Contest Judge Jim Richardson will select two finalists for each category then the public will place its votes online from August 15 to September 15, 2011. After that it’s back to Jim to help choose the Grand Prize Winner (to be announced on or about November 8, 2011). For more information, go to www.nationalgeographic.com/lithium. Then let the judging begin.

Me, I have a passport ready and am going to take a shot at this. Focusing for the trip of a lifetime is a fun opportunity. America was built on the hopes and dreams of its founders. For me, capturing the northern lights of the Aurora Borealis shining is my hope and dream. Win or lose, I won’t be disappointed. I enjoy beauty and my pictures record the reality and magic of life.

ONE winner will receive a battery-powered desktop mini digital photo frame powered by two Energizer? Ultimate Lithium AAA batteries.

  1. We use almost all rechargeable batteries. When they are newly charged they are kept on top of my husband’s dresser in a box next to the charger. thanks for the chance!

  2. I keep them in a plastic ben labeled “Batteries” it’s all sizes. I’d like to win this frame. I have some Energize batteries that could fit it. It’d look real nice on my desk.

  3. The Batteries in my house stay in our drawer in kitchen with all of our stuff like duck tape, scotch tape, electrical tape, screw drivers, hammer, all kinds of batteries for “EVERYTHING” … Then more stay in my camera case always need them with my camera. This frame would come in handy with all my m&g photos of the country artist and me. 🙂

  4. I keep them in the top left drawer in my desk. When anyone needs batteries, they know where to do go.

  5. Good luck on your quest and here’s hoping you win. I actually get most, if not all of my wallpapers that I use on my desktops in various places at the hospital straight from the national geographic sites so it would be cool if you won and I happened upon yours to add to one of the machines 🙂

I keep my batteries in a drawer in the kitchen and some in a drawer in my desk which is in my room because when the mousie dies I don’t feel like going downstairs to get some new ones lol

Already subscribe to the RSS and faved you on technorati (honestly I didn’t think people still used that lol)
