The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show at WonderWorks
Each time I passed the upside down building I smiled and wondered exactly what it held within. Today I know the answer. WonderWorks, located at 9067 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32819, houses The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show. SHAZAM! Its Houdini, Alexander, Kellar, Blackstone and Kid posters set the mood. Magician Tony Brent does the rest.
Buffet menu: Unlimited popcorn, salad, pizza, dessert, soda, beer, and wine satisfy every appetite. The show is a successful mixture of tricks, illusions, and misdirection with cards, ropes, water, and moving objects spiced up with 80’s music, humor, magic, audience participation, and some ventriloquism–nothing profane.
After dinner, guests get to visit Wonderworks upstairs with the basement on the top and her roof on the first floor. It is an attraction for the mind. Its hundred interactive exhibits challenge the body very little. Instead they prod the intellect and play games with the mind. I lobbed a baseball and made hubby and middle son laugh as it rolled across the ground. I tried Mindball, a game where mind control, relaxing, and doing nothing decided the winner (I lost). I got to experience both a hurricane and an earthquake in one short evening–luckily 100% safely and 100% entertaining.
