The search leads the threesome through Victorian London to a tavern on the Thames. There they are captured in a Rube Goldberg-like mousetrap. As time is about to run out, they escape and make their way to Buckingham Palace where Ratigan has replaced Mousetoria with a robot. The faux queen has given him rule of England.
Basil, the heroic mouse, outwits Ratigan so good prevails.
