Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil with Shea and Cocoa Butter Review
Sensitive skin, the weather, and the aging process are three reasons why skin doesn’t always look and feel as good as possible.
Sun-sensitive, dermatologically cursed me has to monitor everything I use or else. Simply put, my skin irritates very easily. Prescription shampoo, pure fragrance free detergent, special soaps and body washes, and good face and body lotions all help – but, unfortunately, not enough. My skin demands bath oil. Frugal me spent a lot of dollars seeking out the perfect moisturizer. Then I discovered something in the bathroom cabinet that I had been using my whole life – baby oil. If it is good enough for a baby’s gentle skin, it certainly is good enough for me.
Johnson & Johnson has been there for my mother, me, my daughter, and granddaughter. I love its baby products. Recently, I was asked to review its Shea and cocoa butter line of baby oil (which locks in ten times more moisture), baby oil gel, and baby creamy oil. Love them and their clinically proven mildness. Describe them as non-greasy, creamy, rich. What’s more they have been dermatologist and allergy tested.
1/4 cup added to the warm water being drawn in the tub (sans optional perfume for me as it irritates), keeps the moisture in and my skin soft and smooth. It has no chemical additives, colors or dyes, parabens, lanolin, LSL or SLES, propylene glycol, formaldehyde, phthalates. Its natural, nourishing ingredients include make it the perfect mild, gentle skin conditioner.
Supposedly you can’t get better than perfect, but I think J&J did when they infused baby oil with shea butter. How aware are you of its anti-inflammatory properties, medical uses, and sun-block effect? I can give first hand testimony. Hydration is the key to avoiding cold weather and harsh element damage. My skin is glowing–no rough dry patches anywhere.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Johnson?s and received the products necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.
