Everyone Should Have Health Insurance
I never opted to get any Medicare supplement insurance. With Medicare as primary and my retirement insurance as secondary, I never got hit by catastrophic bills. I’ve never had to dread seeing the address labels and opening large bills. Lucky me! What would have been even luckier than that was if I had never been sick at all.
Life expectancy is longer now than it was in my parents and grandparents’ lives. Put that down to better nutrition, advances in medicine, and improved work conditions. I wish every American worker had decent health coverage. Too many just can’t afford it though.
