Clorox Ode To The Commode Sweepstakes With Giveaway

Clorox Ode To The Commode

Thanksgiving traditions: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, stuffed turkey with all the fixings, and football of course.

When middle son learned that Clorox was flying a couple of winners and their chosen nine teammates each to New Orleans, he went wild. He must have thought I was his fairy godmother instead of his mother when he told me “we” had to win the Clorox Ode To The Commode Sweepstakes. Reality check – the only magic wand I own is my Clorox Toilet Wand.

You see Sonny Boy, age 27, has been talking about the Saints and the Big Easy almost since he learned to talk. He never played football in school but he loves the game. He and Baby Brother (he calls him bother), age 26, are still moaning and groaning that they were denied the opportunity of a lifetime.

Hurricane Katrina, Superdrome, NFC Championship contender, Superbowl Championship, he knows more about the New Orleans Saints than most experts. Who else would go to Disney World and sit in ESPN all night to watch his team play? His solution against all odds is having former pro football quarterback Jesse Palmer coach him January 13, 2011, in casual flag football play. It would begin a new era and a new tradition…turkey bowl/toilet bowl…quite a dream!

They say that anything is possible if only one believes. For more information about the contest and how to win a three day/two night vacation in New Orleans and a real-life Clorox Toilet Bowl game for the entrant and nine best buds, go to Clorox Toilet Bowl Facebook contest page, Its humorous take to ode to the commode and butt of jokes even got me to smile. Fact: those who know me say I have a strange sense of humor very dry and black.

  1. My Dad always had season tickets to the Kansas City Chief’s growing up. It was always so much fun. Driving there. Picking up the plastic cups with the logo on them. Watching the plays from the binoculars. What fun!

  2. I follow you on twitter as @cakeblast

oh, and to avoid confusion on my mandatory entry – meant we get a sitter and go out to a sports bar or family family is really into football. I’ve only been to one pro game ever though.

  3. My family has a big Super Bowl party every year. I don’t really follow football, but I like that we all get together and I enjoy watching all the cool commercials:)

  4. the only game i watch is the superbowl, so i guess that is my tradition

  5. I am watching the Chicago Bears right now and we are winning!!!
I was brought up a Bears fan…I remember watching the games with my Dad and I am very happy to have those memories.
My Dad was not an easy person to share things with but football was our common ground.
My Hubby and kids are not as into it as I am but they do enjoy the goodies we have when people come over to watch the game with us.
Watching Sunday afternoon football is a tradition I enjoy with family and friends.

  6. The backyard brawl is a contest between Pitt & West Virginia University over
Thanksgiving weekend. Some of my family attended one and some attended the other. This makes for a lively family football tradition with friendly wagers,
    and sibling rivalry.

  7. One football tradition we had is to attend the high school football game every Thanksgiving. Sadly, because of changes in the rules, this was the first year there were no games on Thanksgiving. Thanks for the review and giveaway!

  8. We don’t have any football traditions per se aside from watching football on TV but I would love to win a wand!

  9. My 4yo, 5yo, husband and 1 all watch Football. The 5yo kind of knows what a touchdown is but mostly loves to pretend to be a cheerleader. Our tradition is spending quality time with nachos, each other, and having fun and talking between plays!!
