Army Wives, Season 3 continues the Lifetime series about their lives and problems facing four women and one man with military spouses. Set in fictional Fort Marshall, Charleston, South Carolina, it weaves their stories into that of its 23rd Airborne Division.

Featured in the season’s eighteen episodes are Kim Delaney as Claudia Joy Holden, Catherine Bell as Denise Sherwood, Sally Pressman as Roxanne “Roxy” LeBlanc, Brigid Brannagh as Pamela Moran, Brian McNamara as Major General Michael Holden, Sterling K. Brown as Dr. Roland Burton, Wendy Davis as Lt. Colonel Joan Burton, Drew Fuller as Sergeant Trevor LeBlanc, Katelyn Pippy (2nd season on) as Emmalin Jane Holden, and Terry Serpico as Lt. Colonel Frank Sherwood.

Army Wives is about connections of couples, families, friends, even enemies. The stories it tells could be real. Affairs, the fallout after, lives under fire, house hunting, careers in the balance, deployment play out to a climax. The sub-plot parallelling the suppressed feelings about life and death of rebellious Emmalin Holdin and injured Iraqi Haneen could happen.

Some say the season ends with too many cliffhangers. What happens to someone torn apart by survivor guilt? Where does a deserted husband turn? How does the Hump survive? Why have characters disappeared? Season 4 begins on April 10, 2010. Meanwhile, if you missed this drama or just want to catch up, Season 3 is out on DVD listing at $45.99. It includes some great bonus features like bloopers, deleted scenes, webisodes, a special Army Wives Gives Back, and a behind the scenes Stationed in the South tour of historical Charleston.
