A Faucet For A Meal
“Honey, I just got the water bill and we have to cut down usage. We’ve gone over the limit again and it isn’t the dishwasher, laundry, or shower. Don’t tell me that it is the pool water either. We closed that at the end of the summer and, if you didn’t notice, it is wintertime. Somehow we used a lot of water since the last reading.”
No response and he says that I am deaf.
“Please check out all the plumbing fixtures. I’ll go past the hardware supermart if you need parts or anything else.”
Drip. Drip. Drip. It is the sink spigot. It is not sealing.
Has anyone heard the story about the repair man’s wife? Well, I am she unfortunately. Time to take matters into my own hands again. No, I am not a do-it-yourselfer. I am a shopper. I am going to get a Delta faucet, put it on the kitchen table, and explain to my honey that it has to be installed so I can make him a good homecooked meal.
Of course he will make some smart comment like, “That will be a first.”
