2010 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE – Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue Nintendo DS Game And Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow Online Game
My tween granddaughter’s birthday is next week, and I have been puzzling on what the perfect gift for her would be. She is definitely opinionated and hard to please. I guess that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Presents should be a joy to give as well as a joy to receive, shouldn’t they?
Idea! The Princess loves stuffed animals and collects Webkins. She is into the computer virtual world. She always has her Nintendo DS portable gaming system with her. So… the new DS game Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is the perfect choice. AND, I’ll even give her a copy of a Tinker Bell sketch drawn for me by a Disney artist.
I got to play this DS game a few weeks ago after touring Disney’s Closed Working Lot and Glendale Imagineering Studio. It will be released to the public September 21, 2010. Its SMRP is $29.99. Here’s more about the game.
Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue on Nintendo DS invites players to create their own fairy and fly into Fairy Camp and adventure through the English countryside and explore all new locations to find and grow the rare Rainbow Lily. Players will interact with Lizzy and team up with fairy friends to bring each of the six rare lilies to Fairy Camp. Along the way, fans will complete quests and take part in a wide variety of mini-games that will use specific fairy talents for arts and crafts, baking and decorating cookies and more. Connect to all the fun in Pixiehollow.com with new online connectivity features!
Now let me tell you about this new fairy adventure aimed specifically at female tweens. For starters Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow is G-rated, bright, well-animated, inventive fun. It’s summer vacation at fairy camp. It’s a time for gamesters to join in activities, play games, create fairies, play even more games, and collect goodies to help them along the way.
What I like about this particular virtual world is its suitable parent controls and guidelines. In Pixie Hollow you not only can link to the online game but you can also transfer your DS game feats on to the web game. You choose to play without pay or pay $5.95 monthly membership fees if you want to enjoy everything in Pixie Hollow.
I went on the internet to try out Pixie Hollow. Just go to Pixie.hollow.com and try it out yourself. I loved creating my own personal fairy’s face, hair, wings, size, even clothes, naming her, and picking out what particular kind of fairy she would be. I bet you will enjoy the quests as you fly the English countryside. Things like exploring and searching for Rainbow Lily flowers are the best. On my adventures, I got to meet fairy friends, shop, and try talent games. I was even able to choose to work on my own or as part of a team.
