This is a what if movie about what would happen to the Russo Family if the parents had never met. When untrustworthy Alex punished for misuse of magic, her mother tells her that she must go along on a planned Caribbean vacation without her wizard’s wand. Angered while holding a book of forbidden spells, she mistakenly wishes her parents never met.

The wish makes for complications. Now never married father Jerry still has the powers he gave up. When asked for advice from his children, he tells them that they will first forget the past the disappear forever unless…. Later Archie, a magician, tells them about the stone of dreams, which grants any wish or reverses one spell once.

Mother Theresa does not remember Justin, Alex, and Max, her own three
kids. Justin and Alex do a little magic. Giselle, Archie’s parrot/girlfriend, complicates things and shows her feelings and true colors. Justin and Alex compete. Alex wins and can have it all except she thinks better and wants everything to be as before. Everyone grows closer.

Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie is good family entertainment that teaches without being preachy. Everyone can’t do whatever he/she wants and life has consequences.

Here’s a clip called Welcome To Paradise.

  1. THis is actually a pretty good show my kids watch after school…and I pretend I am not liking it! some pretty good life lessons on most episodes. I can see my youngest wanting to have this DVD! We have seen parts of this movie on TV, but my youngest would love to have a copy. The main girl character is quite a good little actress…I am looking forward to seeing if she breaks through to other movies.
THanks for the heads up on this one, Pat. Maybe a Valentines gift for our youngest. (we give a little gift to our kids at home instead of to each other…they think it is pretty special they are OUR Valentines!)
