Weber Style 6439 Audible Meat Thermometer Review
From the manufacturer – The brand new Weber Style? audible meat thermometer provides a visual and audible indication of doneness with five languages to choose from. There?s no more guesswork on whether or not your meat is cooked to perfection.
Anyone who knows my culinary skills knows that I burn things even my kitchen. So I need all the help I can get when cooking anywhere and everywhere. Charbroil can equate to charcoal. With that said, I came upon the best patio-lawn-garden product ever–for me at least. It is the Weber 6439 Audible Meat Thermometer. With more and more kitchens going outside, this one is a MUST.
This thermometer is cordless and runs on battery. It is small, lightweight, and portable. It works inside and out, on stoves and grills. Its temperatures are automatically preset to guarantee food safety and quality with no more burned or dried out meat. Just select the kind of meat: lamb, veal, burger, pork, turkey, chicken, fish, or beef. Then pick out it is to cook: rare, medium rare, medium, well-done. Probe sensor goes into the meat; remote sensor clips on belt, pocket, etc.
I didn’t need to put my reading glasses on to appreciate the large, visible back light digital LCD screen display. I chose its automatic feature over its timer. While the meat was cooking, I could see current temp in degrees as well as targeted one. I didn’t have to watch the meat either as the accessory talked to me. When the meat was almost finished, it announced first “nearly done” then “done”. Incidentally, the Weber 6439 speaks in five different languages (French, Spanish, German, Danish, and, lucky for me, English)–pretty smart for a machine!
Evening #1, Hubby helped me test my new meat thermometer first on a thick steak being grilled outside. Results were perfect to a T as in tee bone. The meat was red on the inside–what he always requests for good beef in fine service restaurants. Evening #2, Hubby put pork into the oven. The finished roast was a big 10, flavorful and juicy. I wonder how I ever did without this accessory.
The Weber 6439 Audible Meat Thermometer is durable, easy to clean and use. It can be bought in many local stores or ordered on line direct as well as from Amazon and other sites. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $44.99.
I did receive a sample of this product from Weber but that in no way affected my opinion or this review.
