TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure, an Adventure Beyond Pixie Hollow DVD Review
On October 27, 2009, Walt Disney Pictures releases its TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure on DVD for sale to the public. This is the first of a planned series of four animated sequels to the movie TinkerBell. You’ll love her friends, Terence and Blaze the firefly.
Changing leaves, pumpkin patches, and south bound geese bring in the autumn season. Set in a world of fairies, a rare Blue Moon and a Magical Fall Septer set the stage. TinkerBell must take on responsibility–if she is to grow. When Tink accidentally brings big danger into their presence, it is up to her to make things right. She is not running away from consequences as she makes her journey beyond Pixie Hollow into Neverland. Frightening shadows by a double-speak ship and threatening trolls guarding a bridge symbolize life’s adversaries. These demons, inner and outer, bring smiles as they are overcome.
TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure has powerful lessons. It is easy to say, “Things happen and everyone has fears”. The reality is that facing fears is hard. Kids learn by example. Tink demonstrates she is sorry. Actions do speak louder than words. It is preachy to advise, “True friendship includes forgiveness”. Young viewers seeing Tink taking the first step to right her wrongs is is more apropo.

I recommend this video for early school years children. Animation is rich and colorful. The musical score captures the spirit of the movie. Just take a sneak peak at this clip.
