The Berry Butler And A Driscoll’s Berries Giveaway

Being as I’m currently in San Diego I found this interesting. I love berries, especially raspberries. I wish I’d known about the Berry Butler last week so I could have gone to check it out. If you like berries you’ll want to read until the end, I’ve got a little surprise.

Driscoll?s and Loews Offer Guests a Wholesome, Delicious Experience this July

SAN DIEGO, CA — JUNE 24 ? In celebration of National Berry Month this July, the Loews Coronado Bay Resort will host an official Berry Butler courtesy of Driscoll’s, the nation’s leading provider of fresh berries. The Berry Butler will be on premise every Friday and Saturday, July third through August first, greeting guests with fresh berries; helping young guests whip up fresh smoothies; staging tastings, and providing guests with a memorable stay that?s both healthy and unique. Tastings and berry treats for guests of the resort will be free of charge, compliments of Driscoll?s berries.

“In today?s economic climate, value is the new luxury, so our goal is to pamper our guests with the finest service and amenities, yet still make those luxuries accessible,? says Ellen Burke Van Slyke, Creative Director of Food and Beverage, Loews Hotels. ?The Berry Butler is a great value and a perfect way to demonstrate how a ?healthy? indulgence like berries can be part of an everyday ritual,? she continued.

For more than 100 years, Driscoll’s berries have been a staple on kitchen tables of American families, and today they are even served to the nation?s First Family and guests of The White House.

Other scheduled events at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort will include demonstrations by Executive Chef Marc Ehrler, who is also a French Master Chef, and cocktail and mocktail courses conducted by the Loews Mixology Team. The beverages will incorporate Driscoll?s antioxidant-packed strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.

“Driscoll’s is the perfect partner for the hotel,? adds Burke Van Slyke, ?since they grow the finest berries in the world via their alliances with independent farmers.”

All Loews hotels are dedicated to supporting farmers through their ?Adopt-A-Farmer? program, an initiative supporting area farmers, fishermen and independent purveyors. At Loews Coronado Bay Resort, this includes partnering with 12 local farming communities and utilizing more than 60 seasonal herbs and vegetables from its own organic garden.

“The Berry Butler at Loews is a fantastic opportunity for guests to indulge without guilt and learn more about the versatility of berries in addition to their powerful nutritional benefits,” says Gloria Chillon, Driscoll?s Marketing Director. ?We could not think of a more fun, interactive way to delight guests and their families.?
