Melissa & Doug Rainforest Floor Puzzle Review

Melissa And Doug Rainforest Floor Puzzle Box

The delivery men were still ringing my bell just four days before Christmas. The north easterner on Saturday dumped over a foot of snow along the shore. The accompanying winds made it seem worse with drifts three to four feet high causing the governor declared a state of emergency for this locale. Sensible people stayed off the roads, safe at home. Shoveling out began Sunday. Monday it was back to business everywhere.

Hubby and I have finished off our holiday shopping almost. We are both awaiting some packages since nothing managed to get through over the weekend. I hope everything makes it here in time for December 25 festivities. Our mailbox and walks are clear. One thing arrived with today’s mail. I’m glad it made it in time for me to list. It is a Melissa and Doug 2 foot by 3 foot, 48 jumbo piece floor puzzle.

Let me describe #418 Melissa And Doug Rainforest Floor Puzzle. The animals, birds, cats, reptiles, monkeys, butterflies, plant life are colorfully detailed art. It is beautiful enough to be glued together and matted then used as a nursery wall hanging. Any little girl or boy would love the pictures of the tiger, toucan, lemur, and more. Made from heavy-duty cardboard, this floor puzzle is built to last and used and reused time and time again.

It is the perfect jigsaw puzzle for any 3+ year old child. Its extra thick 4 X 4 inch pieces are even made for easy cleaning. As kids manipulate the pieces, they are building hand-eye coordination, coordination, and manual dexterity. They are also using their minds and their matching and problem solving skills.

The images within Rainforest are a fun challenge for children. My youngest grandson who has special needs, is great at puzzles. I know he will enjoy this one. It fits both his interest level and his skill levels. That says a lot about this Melissa and Doug product which retails for $12.99 and can be found online as well as in many toy stores.
