HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE – Auntie Anne’s Make-Your-Own Pretzel Kit
GIFT IDEA – AUNTIE ANNE’S MAKE-YOUR-OWN PRETZEL KIT
With the weather turning cold, damp, and icy, I find myself wishing I were in a warmer climate like California. I really do the California Dreaming scene a lot. The place holds a lot of happy memories. On my last trip there I spent a couple of days in Anahein and, of course, Disneyland. I love the windows along Main Street, U. S. A. I love the names over the stores. It brings me back in time to when the world I live in was younger and more innocent.
I don’t eat big meals anymore. Nevertheless, I still love to sample. I didn’t want a whole meal so last trip into the park I got a Mickey Mouse ice cream for breakfast, a Mickey Mouse candy apple for lunch, and a Mickey Mouse pretzel for dinner. I wrote how to make the candy apple. (It will soon post on hereandthere.us.) I wanted to share the pretzel as well but couldn’t figure out how to at home. Enter Auntie Anne’s Make-Your-Own Pretzel Kit.

With the Make-Your-Own Pretzel Kit, it is 1, 2, 3, 4 or mix, twist, bake, enjoy. All I need is four tablespoons butter, one teaspoon vegetable oil, and some non-stick spray. Ingredients include dough mix, salt, cinnamon sugar, yeast, baking soda, and baking instructions. Ready in 45 minutes, the kit makes ten pretzels at approximately 240 calories, 53 grams carbohydrate, and 6 grams protein each. Feel free to add toppings like yellow mustard or cheese.
I have included a picture of the one I will be modeling my baking efforts on in case you are as big a MM fan as I am. I couldn’t take one of my own finished product as the Casio was victim to an elevator door and is out for work. At $12.95, this pretzel kit is sure to bring smiles to every face.
