Embassy Suites Anaheim South, California
Location, amenities, great value–Anaheim South’s Embassy Suites has it all then more. This eight year old 14 story hotel is bright, modern, and airy. I love its welcome desk and lobby. Who could not be charmed by the waterfalls, rocks, and sleeping lion that roars with each passing half hour?
(FYI – I took this picture with a Casio EX-Z29 that I’m reviewing. I love this picture, it did a great job.)
Tired after five days of driving across country, the desk staff immediately got us into our rooms. Upon entering, we found a welcome fresh fruit and cheese platter waiting. After some relaxing and nibbling, Hubby went downstairs to pick up forgotten necessities and souvenirs in the shop. I melted into a comfy chair, propped my feet, and stared out into the surrounding city. I could see the Angel’s Stadium and the Chrystal Cathedral in the distance.
Then it was time for some fun and time out. First stop, the pool for me; for Little Man the spa’s eye candy.
Next, the fitness center’s state of the art equipment hooked up with personal television sets. I like walking and cycling like this. I don’t even have to break a sweat since the gym is air conditioned.
By then my sailor son LA was here for some R&R so my three men were off to find the game room–recently changed into the Business Center. I met them later for the night’s grand finale, watching nearby Disneyland’s fireworks from the parking lot, marveling at the pink, purple, gold, blue, green, silver color bursts in the skies overhead.
Our 528 square foot accommodations at the Embassy Suites were spacious, modern, and comfortable. The California king in the bedroom was roomy and soft. There was no sleepless tossing and turning all night. The convertible queen sofa in the living room was thick. No poking and prodding of springs interrupted sleep. With two televisions in the suite, no need to squabble about what channel goes on. Hubby took one and Little Man the other as I checked out hi speed wireless internet service.
I’m on vacation so no boss is pressing me for dailies. But, it is nice to know that the Embassy BusinessLink business center is available for me 24/7. I appreciate the convenience PrinterOn allows for remote printing. The Embassy Direct Registration Kiosk made it possible for us to avoid long lines at the airport waiting for someone to print the airline boarding passes for our return trip home.
We stopped at the Manager’s Reception. Available beer, wine, alcoholic drinks, soda, juice, tea, and coffee were all complimentary. We enjoyed our cold drinks then ordered a pizza from the galley. Its dough was made from scratch on the premises, thankfully not a prepackaged shell. It was made as we ordered it, loaded with mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni. Slices were big and filling. There was even some left over which the server boxed for us to take back to the room.
In the morning we went to the atrium for breakfast (free to registered guests). There was something on the menu to please every taste. We skipped the assorted cereals for hot fresh-cooked individually made breakfasts. Hubby opted for pancakes and bacon while I stayed healthy with a spinach and mushroom omelet, hash browns, and a ham side. Little Man grabbed some pastries and bagels from the tray of sweet rolls, muffins, and breads. I thought about having a bananas, delicious apple, or fresh melon fruit cup there ready for the taking. Instead I chose my old favorite orange juice from the juice bar. I finished with hot tea leaving my men to consider fresh brewed coffee and cocoa.
From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out, everything was perfect. The manager was a most helpful, thoroughly informed, and personable gentleman. The entire staff’s sincere aim to please was evident from the time we entered the hotel, throughout our stay, and even after official checkout. We found no need for concierge services either as Disney’s Booking Desk was in the main lobby.
Although the hotel does not have its own busing, the low cost Anaheim Resort Transit which services attractions like Disneyland, the California Adventure, and Downtown Disney is just outside the front door. Private shuttle service and taxis can also be arranged for at the reception counter.
Our money went further at the ?Embassy Suites ?located at 11767 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove, California 92840 than anywhere else along the way. It is luxury on par with the best hotel chains without the accompanying price tag. Pricing ranges from $129 to $179 with some seasonal discounts available. The amenities that come with the reservation are HUGE. This place is service, hospitality, and satisfaction with a personal touch. We could not have received any better treatment.
I would book here again in a heartbeat. For more information go to www.esanaheimsouth.com or call the hotel at 714-539-3300 direct.
?My night’s stay at this hotel was complimentary HOWEVER my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.?
