Celebrating A Belated Father’s Day With A Frosty
Hubby hasn’t been home for Father’s Day in years. Several years ago he was invited become a member of the Boys State staff here in New Jersey. Someday our youth will be called on to make the difference. Volunteering is the right thing to do for the kids, for our society. I am very proud of him. So, we will celebrate Father’s Day one week late. We’ll spend some quiet time together, take a drive and reminisce old times with the kids, then stop for at Wendy’s for a special treat, a Frosty.
Why Wendy’s you ask? Because this is the third year that Wendy’s has donated 50 cents from the sale of each Frosty sold on Father’s Day weekend to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. This program funds full-time adoption recruiters at local agencies across the U. S., who pair prospective parents with foster care children. It won’t be Father’s Day when we go there but it’ll be my way of showing thanks to the company for trying to do such a good thing. Spread the word about Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.
