Disney California Adventure Park, California Review

Just flew in from the East Coast for a long weekend with Princess. Our suite at the Grand Californian is the middle of everything. We are having a great time. Memories help when it is time to say goodbye. Disney’s Photopass and my camera will capture some of our special ones until we make others next time. Before the Disneyland California Adventure even opened, Princess and I are at our hotel’s park entrance. Early entrance is a perk for those staying on property. Stop #1 Fastpast for the World of Color. Stop #2 Fastpass for Cars Land. Grammy and her […]

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Florida Review

My love of animals brought me to Busch Gardens Tampa 45 years ago. I keep coming back usually for the animals but sometimes for the rides. This time I came for the topiaries, sculptures of perennial living plants made into animal shapes. Baby giraffes are so cute. Who can resist a mama kangaroo and her joey? I can hear Little Red Riding Hood is saying to this tiger, “My, what big teeth you have!” Bet on the cheetah in a short run. This particular form of horticulture that makes for great landscaping. Truly this is art that has to be […]

SeaWorld Orlando, Florida Review

Those of you familiar with my November 19, 2009, and November 22, 2010 posts know how much my family and I enjoy SeaWorld Orlando. Its thrill rides, shows, marine exhibits are great entertainment and great fun. Before the official start of summer, hubby traveled South on a business trip and suggested I join him . I agreed stipulating that he had to set aside some down time. Now down time to me means time to go, go, go. Having visited both Epcot’s and Busch Garden’s topiaries, I suggested we check out the horticulture at SeaWorld. Hubby joked that if he […]

Medieval Times Kissimmee, Florida Review

M’Lord, M’Lady, Europe’s Eleventh Century lies within this citadel. Enter and go back to the Middle Ages, a time of moats, trumpets, wenches, knights in shining armor, damsels in distress. Mama kept telling me not to eat with my fingers. However, that would be an impossible feat here in Medieval Times Kissimmee, the first castle themed restaurant in America. Have a taste of history. Service is quick, the menu simple, portions large. I’ve been here before, and I’ll be back again (see 5/20/211 blog). What an atmosphere! The dressage of the all-white Andalusians is stunning. Horses are lovely and elegant; […]

Snow White

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves stand outside the Germany Pavilion facing World Showcase Lagoon. Inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Disney won an Honorary Academy Award for his animated feature about a princess, an evil queen, a magic mirror, an enchanted forest, and a poisoned apple. Can you name all seven dwarves?
