I remember early elementary school How and Tell. My, my, how so many parents and parent figures would have felt had they knows the secrets that little children so often held in! Everyone needs to be able to express their feelings–good and bad.
Through a cinematic–like sequence illustrations, the soft yellow and purple colors of night almost wordlessly tell the story of a little girl’s loneliness and hope. It is a venue of expression for young non-readers and readers alike to get their stories out. No one really likes to answer lots of questions. Books open up communication.
