As I See It:
Digimon Adventure tri is the direct  sequel to the original 1999 Digimon Adventure anime television series. This Japanese action-adventure  consists of six theatrical releases with its second movie Determination, Episodes 5-8, now being released in America.  Set in 2005, it continues the story of now older and disconnecting  Digidestined kids Joe and Mimi, their partners Digimon Gomanon and Rosemon, adversaries Digimon Emperor and Dark Imperialdramon as well as battling  Ogremon and Leomon.

My Opinion Only:
Digimon Adventure tri, Determination’s  slice of life telling with plot line gaps was somewhat confusing. Had the movie centered more on teamwork and less on mega evolutions and ultimate forms, audiences would have better appreciated its plot twists and cliffhanger.   Too many underdeveloped character arcs left too much open.
