WDW Hopping Around

My first visit to Disney, Florida was in 1972.  Its Magic Kingdom grew to Epcot then the Studios then the Animal Kingdom.  In the 44 years since, I’ve seen them all many times.  May, 2016, hubby and I decide to relax and have some together time.  It’s off, off to Lake Buena Vista…and time to park hop.  First stop, Animal Kingdom safari.  Next stop, Epcot.img20160617_14011405Look who is here to greet me.img20160617_14020920Epcot’s 23rd annual international Flower and Garden Festival means added exquisite topiaries, outdoor kitchens, and Garden Rocks entertainment to accompany its World’s cutting edge rides and its Land’s fine dining and international shopping.  Destination #1. Frozen Pavilion.  Alas,  its opening  has been again postponed.  Uh-oh, a mid-day downpour.  No matter, there is always something to do in Epcot.   Singing in the rain, we remain at the Kringla Bakeri go Kafe for lunch–Kottkake,  sweet pretzels, school bread, and Viking coffee.   Top stars for an a-“fjord”-able counter-service eating spot with a fresh, enjoyably unique, delicious menu. img20160617_14030027I probably was a postman in some life.  His creed, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds,” spurs me on as  I  search every kiosk and store (World and Land) for  a Figment Dooney & Bourke bag SOLD OUT.  I settle for Figment coins, Figment shirts, and a special miniature piggie topiaries.img20160617_14001536Time to hop over to Hollywood Studios.   While Star Wars Land remains under construction, Star Wars mania surrounds.  No American Idol, no Backlot Tour, no Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, no Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playland this year .  Instead Parade time March of the First Order, and kid time Jedi Training Academy take center stage. My fav 3D simulator Star Wars:  The Force Awakens has been updated to include new characters and locations.    Destination:  Naboo, Coruscant, Death Star; companion: C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Admiral Akbar, count on an unprecedented, unpredictable surprise trip.

Must do:
Live Star Wars:  A Galaxy Far, Far Away showcasing Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, BB-8, Darth Maul and more.
Launch Bay Theater:  A museum of  memorabilia and footage weaving interviews, clips from the classic trilogy and new A Force Awakens, and an overview future Star Wars Land.
Star Wars:  A Galactic Spectacular’s fireworks, lasers in sync with Star Wars new and old soundtracked scenes.

See how I expressed myself at my Chewbacca and Kylo Ren meet and greets.img20160617_14053105Fantasmic tells it all. More WDW another day.
