Short Summary:
Changes in the weather means the holidays. Cold, frost, icicles, snow set the stage for wreaths, outside lights, decorations, displays of trains and toys, and caroling. Crafty crafting, baking, wrapping presents, hanging stockings, putting up the tree, hearing “Twas the night…” and Santa are the magic of Christmas.

My Opinion Only:
This picture book is a welcome sign of Christmas coming in a world overrun by mass advertising before Halloween is even done. Brenner captures the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas in his recap of its traditions. Christy’s digital art works compliment the images of the season softened but still bright in their basic hues.
