What better way could Martin Hardford celebrate 25 years on the hunt than by publishing another book in his Waldo series? I myself truly appreciate puzzle books for their challenges and red herrings. They make a game out of following directions, active thinking, and careful observation. I think this is great, don’t you? What a way to foster creativity and expression skills!
Within Where’s Waldo? The Search for Lost Things double page spreads exists quite a compendium of solidary recreational fun. Something for anyone and everyone lies in its drawing, copying, decoding, crosswords, doodles, mazes, numbers,dot-to-dots, memory games, pyramid puzzles, tongue twisters, word ladders, word puzzles, word scrambles, and more….
Don’ you hate not having anything more to do once a puzzle book is completed? Martin Handford fixed that by challenging readers to return and search for hard-to-find things at the end of each chapter then scour and comb the entire book again for more. Now I call this book truly happy hunting.
