When my four year old grand baby told me how much she likes the VeggieTales DVD’s I send her, I decided that they were the perfect choice for my little four year old. They are all about lessons in life, good choices, and values–the things we as adults should try to instill in our young.
Big Idea Entertainment is releasing a new DVD. Its VeggieTales Princess and the Pop Star: A Story of Trading Places will be available in major DVD retail outlets on August 16, 2011. With a SRP of $14.93, this is one animated video that sends a strong positive “Be yourself” message. Based on Mark Twain’s The Prince and the Pauper concept, two girls Princess Poppyseed and singer Vanna Banana, who look alike, meet and decide to switch lives. They learn what they thought they wanted really isn’t. What a great lesson in Christian values!
I know my little princess will view this toon again and again. Afterwards I can see her singing and dancing to its bonus content. Its features (Audio Commentary, “Astonishing Wigs” Silly Songs Sing-Along, “Right Where You Belong” Sing-Along, Behind the Music with Francesca Battistelli and Friends, and Princess Poppyseed’s Points for Being Uniquely You) are music to the ear and food for the soul. What child appropriate extra fun!

The first thing I thought of was Zuchinni – and anyone with a garde (or a neighbor with a garden) should understand
I know they have a squash, but there are so many different varieties of summer squash. Maybe they could have both yellow and green, or even a striped squash as additional characters.
