Wondering Why You Should Bother Answering The US Census?

In mid-March, every household should receive in the mail a short, simple ten question form. Please fill it out and return it promptly. Census workers may give you a follow up call or visit if your answers are not clear or if any further information is required.

If you haven’t seen the video “Snapshot of America”, please take 30 seconds to do so. Our government released it to increase awareness that 2010 is a U. S. census year and needs facts and figures on everyone here, and I do mean everyone including even illegal immigrants.

Ever ask yourself, “Why bother”? The answer is our country allocates money based on the facts and figures it collects. Your community cannot rely on taxes alone. It needs funding to pay its expenses and keep programs operating.
