Because someone I know was planning to get married, I was looking for a little something to acknowledge the occasion. In looking through wedding accessories, I found the ultimate thing: The Pocket Idiot’s Guide to Wedding Etiquette. The book gave contemporary advice for today’s bridal party. I bought one and was about to send it when I received a telephone call notifying me that the wedding was off.

Hmm, maybe I should have selected some other title. “Know Yourself” would have been good. “Know Your Real Mate” would have been better. Couples shouldn’t rush to get married for any reason. It’s liable to bring a lifetime of regrets.
