SOLO Cup Photo Contest

I love the summer because it’s a great time for family and family gatherings. Between hubby and me, four kids of our own, spouses and significant others, grand kids, and friends, there is always a crowd ready to enjoy sun, fun, a barbecue, and most certainly the pool.

I don’t mind shopping, preparing, and eating , but I do loathe the clean up which is a MUST. So I make things as simple and easy as possible: plastic utensils and serving ware, necessary paper goods like paper towels and napkins, and Solo glasses, plates, bowls. Why Solo when other brands are cheaper? I like its feel. The “dishes” last through a meal and seconds without falling apart, leaking, and/or disintegrating. Reusable, I mark drink ware with names or drawings so the kids are good to go.

I just had an early birthday party for my youngest grandchild–simple fare, lasagna, steaks, and an ice cream birthday cake. By the time the last guest was about to leave, cleanup was done and I could spend time on R&R, my own personal kind of fun.

I just learned that Solo has announced its second annual online photo contest. The grand prize is $5,000 for the best photo featuring Solo products. Two $1,000 runner-up prizes as well as daily and weekly prizes will also be awarded. I wish I could win. I’m off to check out my pictures right now. Interested, well just don’t think about it.
