This brand is a must for getting spots and stains out. Its active ingredient is an oxygen chemical sodium percarbonate that works as a detergent and bleaching agent where many products fail. I cannot tell you how many shirts I have saved from Good Will when my Spot Patrol rep, son ET, saw a tiny discoloration and threw it aside.
“Waste not, want not,” has always been my motto. Boy was I lucky when samples of Oxiclean arrived. Now that ET is out on his own, I have been cleaning and packing up his old things like the name brand sneakers he wore a couple of times until he saw scuffs. I sparingly applied the Gel Stick and threw them into the washer. After I stuffed them and let them air dry, they looked good as new. I also found last year’s winter jackets with collars and cuffs tinged with sweat, perspiration, and the like left behind. I popped them, detergent, and a Max Force Power Pak into the wash cycle. I hung them to dry.
Coincidentally ET just came by to visit and didn’t recognize his own clothing. He thought I had gone shopping and bought ones just like his for my grandson. I suppose he forgot his mother’s nature.
I myself have been using various OxiClean products in my laundry for years. No job can’t be tackled–cloth diapers, area rugs, draperies, slipcovers, quilts, spreads…you get the picture. What does not fit into my extra-large heavy duty machine goes to the commercial one at the laundromat (I bring my own stash of cleaners). You can bet that these two new products Oxiclean Max Force Power Packs and its OxiClean Max Force Gel Stick Pre-treater will be coming along with me next time out. The Gel Stick is a touchup must. The Power Pak is more convenient than schlepping a whole pail of powder.
Keep your eye out for these new products in stores within the next couple of weeks.
