WDW’s record breaking cold is not the only thing I didn’t expect this week. On one hand, the Flower and Garden Festival was not for another month; therefore, no brilliant topiary displays in Epcot. On the other hand, International Plaza is gateway between Futureworld and the Lands, therefore, no restricted security access.
Thursday you can bet this visitor was surprised to see International Plaza cordoned off and filled with commercial kitchen parts down front, center stage. A media event with 2,500 guests was in the works highlighting Celebration Volunteer. Was I ever lucky to be one of the invited guests!
Chef Robert Irvine from the Foot Network was busy with a menu reflecting the World’s many countries. He personally visited each of them with the Disney’s princesses for his gourmet creations’ necessary ingredients. Later I got to eat under the stars, see a special performance of Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato, and enjoy the music, fireworks and lazer show of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
What a great night!
