You may remember my writing before (See April 20, 2010, and September 15, 2010 blogs) how Lysol is a great disinfectant. ’Tis time to remind you once again.
Did you know that 22 million school days are lost each year to the common cold? Now that cold and flu season is creeping in, an ounce of prevention is worth one pound of cure. Try Lysol Disinfecting Wipes in the Citrus or Spring Waterfall scents. They kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. They stop germs in their tracks and odors too. Can’t lose with odds like that.
Right now Lysol is sponsoring a Mission for Healthy Community Heroes Contest designed to recognize moms who have helped improve health within their communities. This contest, open to all United States residents 18 years and older, ends January 31, 2011. To enter, go online and share your videos, photos and stories about how you made an impact. So show your stuff and what you are doing in this Lysol Mission for Healthy Community Heroes Contest. Your local community organization could win the top prize of $5,000 in $10,000 worth of awards.
LYSOL believes in its Mission for Health and its strategic programs and partnerships for new moms, schools, and disaster relief show it. For more information about the Lysol Mission for Health and how you can help, go to www.lysol.com/missionforhealth.

I know this sounds far out there, but my community is rittled with IV drug users and there is no needle exchange program for the users to get clean needles forcing the drug addicted to share needles. The older folk think keeping a needle exchange program would make our community look bad, but apparently they don’t get out much because there is a drug problem.
If I did not have a family to care for I would start a clinic that educated addicts about HIV, Hepatitis C & B and STD’s. The clinic would also offer free HIV tests and Hepatitis test in addition to clean needles and used needle disposal. Of corse the offer of recovery could be offered to the users that want it.

What I think would make our community more healthy is if the schools would use lysol and clean the keyboards and desks and doorknobs more regularily, same with businesses.
