When the leaves turn I can rely on my best bro (in-law) to bring me a bushel of local apples straight from the orchard. They are fall weather treats, healthy and tasty. YUM! I start cooking up a storm–fresh applesauce, apple pies, and baked apples. Hubby loves his apple pie. Me, I love fresh baked apples, sugary and cinnamony, right out of the oven. I just wish I could find an easy way to remove the cores between the apple top and apple bottom. Suggestions are welcomed.

I LOVE apples! This is one of my favorite things about fall. I love to make pork chops, onion and apples. Add in a little cinnamon, apple cider and a touch of maple syrup – YUM!!!

Do you have one of these? http://www.pamperedchef.com/our_products/catalog/product.jsp?productId=229&categoryCode=CE I clamp it onto the kitchen counter and it really saves alot of time. I didn’t buy it from PC, can’t remember where I got it, since I’ve had it so long.
