I do whatever I can not to waste water. Accordingly I hate pre-rinsing dishes by hand or even using the rinse cycle of my dishwasher. The plain fact is that this major kitchen appliance uses up to twenty gallons of water per load–full or not. Glad I was given Finish Quantumatic to review.
Quantumatic is a new Finish product that helps me. It still has its Powerball, but now it has much more. It’s an automatic dishwasher detergent dispenser system that banishes pre-rinsing. It installs in seconds easily. Even I was able to follow the instructions on the package without difficulty, a first for technologically impaired me.
I hate housework. It’s not that I am lazy; it’s that I have better things to do. I don’t have to measure out how much liquid automatic dish detergent or unwrap any tablet either. With no more pre-rinsing, all I do is load my pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and utensils and hit start. Finish Quantumatic is a time-cutting innovation which even shows how many washes to go before it needs replacing. Countdown from twelve began about a week ago.
Dispenser refills available in a twin pack of 24 in regular and lemon scent are on my shopping list, for when the dispenser registers empty. The only things I don’t like is that I can’t use either my short cycle or my rinse cycle with it in place. Maybe the manufacturer can install some kind of OFF device to make this problem go away.
To me Finish’s powerful cleaning is the diamond standard of automatic dishwashing. AND Quantumatic made it better and better. It revolutionized my kitchen routine. I got clean sparking dishes and shining stemware. It took the stains out of my plastic ware. It removed baked on stains without any scouring or pretreatment.
Ceci Carmichael, chef and former host of Food Network’s Calling All Cooks and Good Food Fast, knows that moms are always looking for modern tools to update their kitchen routine. Ceci recommends these tips:
- Arm Yourself with Apps: Smartphone applications, like on the Apple iPhone®, can be functional as well as entertaining. Many have been developed to solve even the toughest of kitchen quandaries. For instance, there are apps that do kitchen measurement conversions and apps with fast, healthy recipes. So whether you need a revolutionary new way to calculate conversions, or to get a leg-up on your meal plans, download a few to have on hand.
- Upgrade to Hands-Free Appliances: Everyone wishes they had a third hand in the kitchen. Bring your kitchen into the 21st century by replacing old appliances with new, touch-less appliances. There are paper towel dispensers and trash cans that are activated with the wave of a hand, and sink faucets that turn on with the tap of an elbow.
- Automate Kitchen Clean-Up: With all dishwashing detergents changing to phosphate-free formulations, now is the time to change your routine and try the new revolutionary FINISH Quantumatic. The innovative and effortless new system transforms the kitchen clean-up routine by eliminating the need for pre-rinsing.
- Chore Lists of the Future: Don’t count on sticky notes or verbal instructions for your family. Use a fridge magnet that records videos to leave detailed, visual instructions on what to clean and how to cook.
