I just finished watching the Extended Edition of Disney Starstruck. Even if I am about a half century older than its stars, I enjoyed every moment. The story was a cautionary tale of what happens when things get out of control.

Teen idol Christopher Wilde (Sterling Knight) lives a Hollywood life that forces him to lie and hide himself from the real world. To prove his maturity and sincerity, Chris is told to stay home and avoid the ever-pursuing paparazzi. What normal teen ever does what he is told? Enter down-to-earth Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell). She thinks his life is fake, not real. A chain of events perhaps described as fate throws them together. Their perfectly normal day together is great until…. I refuse to divulge details so if you want to know more, get the DVD.

The cast includes:

* Sterling Knight as Christopher John Wilde
* Danielle Campbell as Jessica Olson
* Brandon Mychal Smith as Albert Stubby
* Chelsea Staub as Alexis Bender
* Maggie Castle as Sara Olson
* Dan O’Connor as Dean Olson
* Beth Littleford as Barbara Olson
* Alice Hirson as Grandma Olson
* Lauren Bowels as Sherry Wilde
* Ron Pearson as Daniel Wilde

StarStruck: Extended Edition DVD includes:
• Extended version of the movie – only available on DVD
• More Music with eight Rock-Along tracks to sing-along with!
• Three Hot Music Videos

StarStruck was #1 in its time slot among kids ages 6-11 and tweens ages 9-14, and was the most watched February original movie premiere in total viewers. StarStruck: The Extended Edition DVD is the only way to get the exclusive content not aired on TV. A modern day Cinderella story, StarStruck promotes strong messages about honesty, humility, self-acceptance, and strength of character.

Disney Starstruck will be released June 8, 2010. Its SMR is $26.99–not bad for both the extended version DVD with its bonus exclusive extended music scene, music videos, rock along PLUS its full length soundtrack CD. Starstruck is filled with the humor of life. Its soundtrack is enjoyable and its message so true: Got to Believe. Look for it online and in local stores.

    Hi there,
Great blog! Now that I found you, I’ll stop by often.
It’s funny, I watched this movie “Starstruck” just a couple days ago with my brother. It was a pretty good movie too.

I have been looking for things to do with my neice this summer. I think this movie would be perfect. We can watch it while we bake for a fundraiser we are going to be involved with.
