It is ironic that as many years as not no one is nominated. Adults have to recognize true altruism more, true scolastics more, and less eauty pageants and sports competitions. The values we set forth becomes the mark for those who follow. Life cannot be just do what I say. There must be more do as I do with proper leadership and example. t begins in the home then the neighborhood and the schools. Dear Eileen,

I know others think it is something we should try to instill in our kids from home, school, and community with no ulterior motive to be rewarded, but I think these kids MOTIVATE and INSPIRE other kids. These HEROES seem to be from all walks of life, some affected by illness or heartache and see a NEED. Many are unprompted by their parents and I find that so amazing! I mean, if they can do these great things as KIDS, imaging what they will do as adults in the future!!! I am so proud of them and don't even know them. BUILD a BEAR should be revered as a pretty AWESOME company in trying to get the awareness out there. I love that they are allowing a portion of the reward to go to the child's favorite charity.
