For the nostalgia buffs, 1980′s television episodes of Alvin and the Chipettes have been remastered. They are non-violent and family friendly.

I enjoyed watching Ross Bagdasarian, Sr.’s creation parody popular movies and television shows. Animated Chipmunks Alvin, Simon, and Theodore join with Chipettes Brittany, Jeannette, and Eleanor in three adventures:

* Cinderella, Cinderella–a modern take on an old fairy tale
* Alvie’s Angels–detectives catch the criminal
* The Brunch Club–Chipmunks and Chipettes face detention until the mystery surrounding a destroyed statue is solved

Any audience does not need to know the original stories on which they are based. They only have to sit back, watch, listen, and enjoy. This DVD with a running time of 66 minutes will be released March 30, 2010. Its suggested list is $16.99.
