- The Disney Channel Original series The Suite Life on Deck, Anchors Away will be released on August 25, 2009 on DVD. This series is a spin off on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It features twin brothers Cole and Dylan Sprouse as Zack and Cody Martin, Brenda Song as heiress London Tipton, Debbie Ryan as Bailey Pickett, and Phil Lewis as Mr. Moseby.
The Suite Life regulars are cruising on a floating paradise as they attend 7 Seas High for the summer. The episodes “The Suite Life Sets Sail,” “Parrot Island,” “The Kidney at Sea.” and “Maddie on Deck” are hilarious fun time. It is time to laugh as the twins try to show they are growing up. Scripts involving trading roommates, rational/irrational logic, and deja veau are innocent enough. Their success comes out of the quips and puns deadpan comic delivery delivery.
This show targets kids growing through relationships and problems. Its appeal is in the way it sooths their sting. Bonus features “Mulch Ado about Nothing” and International Date Line” focus on the emotions and teen crushes. Cody’s advice “Follow your heart” is solid. The DVD also has clips of the Floating Premier and an interview with Debby Ryan, the newest member of the cast.
With international ports of call including Rome, Athens, India, and the United Kingdom The Suite Life on Deck, Anchors Away is sure to appeal to tweens internationally. It is rated G.
Here’s a clip from the show.

OMGoodness………..I am not fond of water so I would always be in a panic of their drowning. And, yes, I can swim as can my children. I just would not want them living on a cruise ship.
on Aug 23rd, 2009 at 5:09 pm
I think it would be a great adventure for kids to grow up on a cruise ship (as long as they received a quality education)

I would not like my teens to grow up on a cruise ship. I suppose it seems too far from the real world (on a permanent basis) for me. It would be wonderful for a vacation, but I’m not so sure about it for a permanent residence.

Ok, first of all this is my sons FAVORITE show and I would totally be mother of the year if I won this.
I don’t think i would mind if my kids grew up on a cruise ship. They would get to travel and see all over the world and they can’t get too far on a ship, so I would pretty much always know where they were.

I think my son would love it for a little while-all the excitement, the new surroundings, etc. But, there’s no way we could stay on a ship for good. He has too much love for grass and dirt and dry land!

I think a cruise ship would be great for a vacation, but not so much as a way of life. Besides that, I’m not sure any of us would get over the sea sickness!

I have a real fear of any of my grandchildren being around water and to have them grow up on a cruise ship would be too much for me. I lost my first grandbaby from drowning and since that day my world has never been the same. No cruise ship for them. Thank you!
