Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White with Resolve Power Review

spray n wash bright white bottle

When ET moved he left me to clean up after him. He promises to come back and do it but I’m real. I packed the memorabilia that he will want when he is old and gray and stored it. I bagged lots of garbage and got it out. I sorted out piles of laundry–linen, clothes, sneakers, miscellaneous then started washing.

Some of the things were smelly, dirty, moldy as if they had been in a closed locker for years. I decided to wash them even though ET had admonished me to throw everything he put in the pile away. I am too frugal for that. Why waste $100 pairs of sneakers, expensive backpacks, souvenir throws?

The challenge was on. If the washables were not bright, clean, unstained, and fresh-smelling they would be placed in the garbage as requested. Still I was determined to save. I was thinking green (like in dollar bills).

Sneakers almost brand new again–after all he only wore them a couple of times, throws as if they just came out of the packaging, but one backpack out of seven not good….I tried again. Success!

My secret for restoring sneakers, backpacks, and throws was a washing machine filled with hot water, heavy duty detergent, and Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White with Resolve Power. Count this as an endorsement of the product. It really works.

Thank you, Reckitt Benckiser, for making a bleach alternative with the power to remove tough stains. Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White with Resolve Power can be found in most local stores. Its 44 ounces are enough for sixteen wash loads and retails for $5.85.

Thanks for the review! With 2 young boys I see my share of laundry issues and I’m always looking for a better way to deal with them.

Wow, I now have to try this out. Our country living septic tank will not tolerate chlorine bleach. Am glad you tried it and thank you for sharing.

    Marj,

My colored clothes just get too many spots as the load after white.

    Lauren,

Cootton was so easy but these synthetics need something special.

I’ve tried this and love it. I have to admit, when I first opened the bottle, I thought it was detergent with a stain remover (It looks like a detergent). After reading the bottle, I realized it was to be added with my own detergent.

Thanks for the review! I’ve always used shout but have never been terribly impressed. I’ll definitely have to try this out on my hubby’s work clothes. They are filthy.

I use Spray & Wash spot remover and Resolve on the carpet, so I guess this would be fantastic as an additive in the wash. Thanks for the review, I’ll have to give it a try.

    Karen,

I was using the spray in my wash long before they came out with it as a specific product for the laundry market.

    Janet,

The best way to beat a stain is not to let it set.  The second way is to keep trying with Stain Stick or whatever….

I am on my second bottle of this product. Bought the smaller bottle first to see how well it really worked. Yesterday I bought the biggest bottle I could get. This stuff is absolutely awesome! I am noticing whites that were yellowing, now turning white again. Stains that had set, just poured this on, let it soak for a while and Voila! stain was gone. Way to go Spray and Wash!!

    Melitta,

I agree.  I used the stuff today on my husband’s seven year old belly bag.  Came out as good as new.
