Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, Orlando, Florida

sleuths mystery dinner show orlando

Hubby knows how I love mysteries and has suggested many, many times that we go to Sleuths located at 8267 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32819. We never got around to it until now, but I am sure we will be doing it again. Call Sleuths good entertainment.

Lets begin with the food. It was tasty, well-prepared, and ample. Our evening started with complimentary hors d’ oeuvres of canapes, various melons, and assorted cheese and a visit from the renowned character Sherlock Holmes. Then we were seated for a sit down multi-course dinner. The price of a bar tab alone for most guests would have been far more than the all inclusive $47.95 adult price.

Throughout the evening the waiter returned to serve unlimited beer, wine soda, and iced tea. We were individually served crackers and cheese, rolls and butter, garden salad, steamed vegetables, potato, and a choice of Cornish hen, lasagna with meatballs, or prime rib–all hot and tasty. When it was dessert time, we were given the choice of key lime pie, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate layer cake.

As we ate, we became part of the It’s No Mystery Series. The lead in was right to the point. It was truly the final broadcast of O’town’s #1 radio show, Tipton and Bill. Which one of the outrageous and unusual suspects murdered schlock jock Tipton Ramsdale? The suspects were Station Manager Helen Parker, jilted girlfriend Ginger Strickland, prank victim Dolly, and on the air-sidekick Bill Borden.

It became our task to interrogate suspects then solve the crime. We delved into means–arsenic, electrocution, knifing. We knew the motive already–Tipton used and abused everyone. We just weren’t sure which one had the opportunity to carry the crime through. Of the approx. two hundred of us watching, only a quarter of the audience managed to figure things out correctly. I was not one of them for all my detective story reading. My reasoning was faulty, not precise. I should have thought more carefully about what questions were actually asked and answered.

If you find yourself in the Orlando area, I suggest you make reservations for one of Sleuths’ shows. Its madness and mayhem is hilarious. For more information, go to www.sleuths.com or call 800-393-1985.
