Review Of Capone’s Dinner And Show, Orlando, Florida

The legends about gangstas much like those of outlaws can be quite entertaining. That is one of the reasons why several of us booked a dinner show at Capone’s Orlando. What a night it was! From the moment we were seated until the time we left, we ate, drank, and were merry.

The buffet was all you can eat with no plate limit. The salad was excellent, crisp and fresh. It could have come straight from the garden The cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons, and assorted dressings a bonus. I like meals to start with salad as I am still on a diet. The carb choices were plenty–spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, fresh baked bread sticks. The corn and green bean veggies tasteful. The main entrees of turkey, ham, and pot roast thick and juicy; however, the lasagna was bland.

From seating to the end of the show, the local hood meaning gangster/server kept the glasses full. Soda, tea, beer, wine, rum runners, rum and coke, and vodka and cranberry juice were all inclusive with the price of entry which was a true bargain $45.99 for adults, $27.99 for children ages 4 to 12 plus, of course, taxes and tips. Seasonal discounts are often available.

We laughed at the musical comedy somewhat reminiscent of Runyon stories. The nightlife scene, the mob, and love played in to the plot. We made front page of the Chicago paper sold as a souvenir. “Family Booked for Illegal Activities” brought smiles to our faces. Package price for it, a police file complete with picture, and two souvenir key chains was reasonable at $30, so naturally we bought.

I got to meet with the cast, six talented entertainers, after the show for a photo op. I know our party enjoyed the night out on the town. Their smiles and their guffaws and cackles told the story. If you are ever in the area, check out Capone’s yourself. It is located at 4740 W Hwy 192 (previously called W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway), Kissimmee, Florida 34746-5331. 4. My husband, 15 year old daughter and i went to this show during our holiday in Sept 08 and loved it!!!!! So much so that we have been talking about it since we came home. We are coming back in Sept this year with another family who are just as excited to see the show as we are to return. We all can’t wait.

  5. My husband and I took our daughter and son-in-law to your establishment on Dec. 21/09. It was a surprise for them. Well, we were also pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent; matter of fact the best in all the dinner theatres we have been to. And the show was hilarious. A wonderful time was had by all, and we would certainly go back again. Keep up the good work.

  6. Tamara,

I like the warmth there but not the moisture.  Disney sure changed the lay of the land when he built.  Forty years has changed it really.
