Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes Review And Giveaway

ponds logo

When I was a little girl, I was always fascinated watching my favorite Aunt Betty doll herself up. Powder, rouge, mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick were the makeup of the 40′s. I never thought about it coming off. It was just so neat for a toddler to watch the war paint go on.  A few years later I learned that the jar of Pond’s cold cream sitting in her bathroom was for removing it.

I never used much makeup myself because of the skin problems I had as a teen. My dermatologist even prescribed me a special makeup at the time that I used–it seems like forever. My skin was so oily that putting anything greasy on it just caused more problems. A half century later I wear little or no makeup most of the time. Still there are some occasions….

ponds towelettes

Recently Pond’s asked me to try its new Wet Cleansing Towelettes in the Original Clean variety. Its a conveniently packaged disposable cloth treated with triple tea antioxidant complex, vitamin E, and chamomile. It is easy to use, so easy in fact that in just thirty seconds I can toweled off my entire face and all the day’s soil. I can see visible oil, dirt, and grime, yet my skin is a not raw, itchy, or scratchy afterwards. Gentle cleaning best describes its effect.

ponds towelette unique pattern

I plan to keep a package of Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes around for the times I am out of the house on the go. It will be great to wipe the sweat off if I exercise. I’ll be able to do a mini-wash when traveling on the road. I won’t worry if it is three ounce to meet airport security checks. I can carry it with me in my purse.

Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes are priced at $5.00 for thirty towelettes. They also come in the Age Defying and Micro Dermabrasion packages. This product is available in local drugstores and many supermarkets.

    Hi Pat,
I generally don’t wear make-up but on the rare occasions that I do, I remove it with soap & water. I think I’d like to try the Age Defying Pond’s towelettes. Thanks for the opportunity.

I currently use Face Off toner from Sephora (it’s amazing) but I really like the microdermabrasion clean wipes!

    Cheryl,

Beware of the soaps–some are for the body and not gentle enouygh for the face.

I have some Biore cleansing wipes I use on the infrequent times I actually wear makeup.

My make-up is first removed by sweat and hard work when it is time to clean the barn in the evening! Then followed by water and a foamless cleaner. Age-defying is a requirement in my house of any brand! Why not Pond’s! Be great for the barn!

    Mary Ann,

I remember well how sweat and tears and rain affected makeup.

    Lind,

I was not impressed with another Biore product, the one supposed to remove blackheads.
