Obesity

In today’s depressed economy, nothing is cheap for people just scraping by. Discretionary spending is out. Just look into Average Joe or Jane’s food basket at the checkout register. Too many starches like rice, potatoes, pasta, too many carbs in processed foods especially the comfort ones like sugary desserts. Too little fresh fruits and vegetables.

Obesity has hit epidemic proportions here in the U. S. A. No one is exempt. This affects men and women and children. Now I am going to use the big f word – fat. Most overweight people deny it. They refuse to see themselves in the mirror. They think words like portly, plus, and extra sized describes everyone else except them. They have lots of reasons and excuses for their no longer perfect hourglass figures.

It’s time for overweight people to wake up and look at themselves honestly. It’s time to begin taking control one step at a time immediately. People can help themselves shape up. Watching calories is the first step. Trying exercise is the second. Eating better foods is the third was to shed unwanted pounds. But, not eating is not an option. It messes with the metabolism.

Instead try to plan ahead. Pack something to tide that appetite over until the time a good, well-balanced mean becomes available. Carry a little snack along to help when willpower gets weak. Supermarkets stock many diet conscious choices. Sugar free packets can be added to cold water for tasty drinks. There are loads of cheap fat burners out there to help dieters along. Use them when they are appropriate. Sometimes the body demands supplements for the minerals, vitamins, and nutrients that restricted diets lack.

here in Philippines, obesity is also becoming a problem. More and more children are getting obese due to a lifestyle that is not fully of physical activities. most kids just wants to watch TV, play computer games and surf the net.
